About us:

Bishop Auckland Cycling Club is the friendly cycling club based in the Bishop Auckland area. The club participates in many activities including Club Runs, Club Time Trials, Open Events, reliability trials, Cyclo Cross and many Social Events

Who can join?
Anyone can join our club, we have a weekly club run every Sunday, a monthly club meeting at the Ship Inn. During June, July and August we run an evening time trial series. We currently have members ranging from 12 to 89 years of age.

What sort of bike do I need?
Any road worthy bike ( You should see some of the ones our members ride!! one brake and no gears ). No seriously thinking about buying a bike there's always experts on hand to help you out and we know the best shops and where bargains can be found.

Will I be able to keep up?
The club runs can range in distance from 30 to 80 mile depending on the weather. See our Club Runs list for details. Depending on numbers the club runs may split into two groups one slower than the other.

Why would I want to join?
Are you tired of being unfit? Maybe you are a little over weight? or you've just got nothing better to do on a Sunday morning. Then this is the club for you!!

On a more serious note, cycling is a great way to get fit and stay healthly, see the country side and make friends.
